Our Core Values

Values are not words on a wall. They are decisions you make when it costs something. These five commitments shape every piece we design, every post we write, and every athlete we serve. They are the standard we hold ourselves to first.

Faith

Trust God with the outcome. Give Him everything else.

Faith is the foundation under everything we build, from the pieces we design to the words we post. It is not pretending the shot will fall or the season will go your way. It is trusting that your worth was settled long before tipoff, and that God is at work in the wins, the losses, and the long stretches in between. We say what we believe plainly, and we never promise that faith guarantees wins.

On the court: Pray before you compete, as a reset and not a show. Accept your role without bitterness. After a loss, stay composed, then get back to work.

Beyond the court: Bring your work, your relationships, and your doubts to God honestly.

Proverbs 3:5 to 6 invites us to trust the Lord with all our heart instead of leaning on our own understanding (paraphrase).

Love

Love is the standard, and it is not soft.

Love is the essence of Chasing Hoops. Jesus said people would know His followers by how they love one another. We aim to reflect the love of Christ in every interaction, with compassion, respect, and honesty, whether we are answering a customer, encouraging an ambassador, or speaking to a team. Love does not lower your intensity. It directs it.

On the court: Celebrate the teammate who took your minutes. Hold yourself to the standard you hold others to. Compete hard without disrespecting anyone.

Beyond the court: Show up for people when it is inconvenient.

John 13:34 to 35 says that our love for one another is how the world will know we belong to Jesus (paraphrase).

Excellence

Your best is an act of gratitude.

We pursue excellence in everything we put our name on, from the quality of our apparel to the clarity and impact of our message. For athletes, excellence is not about being the best player in the gym. It is about being a faithful steward of what you were given, in the extra film session, the recovery habits, and the finished set when your legs are tired. We do not chase perfection. We chase faithfulness in the small things.

On the court: Arrive early, finish the rep, study your matchup, and take care of your body.

Beyond the court: Do your job, your schoolwork, and your commitments with the same care you give your jumper.

Colossians 3:23 teaches that whatever we do, we should work at it wholeheartedly, as for the Lord and not for people (paraphrase).

Integrity

Be the same person when nobody is watching.

Integrity is central to who we are. We are committed to honesty, transparency, and ethical behavior in everything we do, including how we describe our products, how we speak about our giving, and how we treat the athletes who represent us. For athletes, integrity means your private habits match your public image. Own the turnover instead of blaming the guard. Practice as hard as you play.

On the court: Own mistakes, respect officials, and refuse shortcuts in your workouts.

Beyond the court: Be truthful in the classroom, online, with money, and in relationships.

Proverbs 10:9 says that the person who walks with integrity walks securely (paraphrase).

Service

Use your gift to lift others.

We believe the strongest things are built together. We serve athletes, ambassadors, trainers, partners, and young players who need to know their lives have purpose beyond the scoreboard. The best players make everyone around them better, and Service is the answer to ego. A Kingdom athlete asks, “Who can I help?” before asking, “Who is watching?”

On the court: Set the screen, communicate on defense, and celebrate the success of the player next to you.

Beyond the court: Coach, volunteer, train others, and serve your community because you are called to, not because you are recognized.

Philippians 2:3 to 4 calls us to value others above ourselves and look to their interests as well as our own (paraphrase).

Together, these five values form the character of a Kingdom athlete.
