The Origin
Chasing Hoops was born in the quiet tension between calling and comfort.
For years, our founder Giovanni Washington chased what the world called success, jobs, status, temporary satisfaction. The grind was loud. But God's whisper was louder.
Basketball had always been more than a game. It was therapy, expression, and identity. Then one day, shooting alone in his backyard, God dropped the words into his spirit:
"Chasing Hoops."
It was not a business idea. It was an assignment.
That seed sat dormant for a season waiting for pressure, waiting for the right kind of breaking. And when life stripped away the distractions and the old identities, it finally grew. God made something clear in that process: the same discipline that builds skill can build faith. The same court that tests your endurance can shape your character. The same grind that makes an athlete can make a man of God.
Chasing Hoops became the collision of both.
